We had the amazing opportunity to assist Sydney based sunless tanning company Attantion with creating their new brand identity. The client’s goal was to target a universal age group, demographic, gender, as well as home tanners, mobile tanning techs and professional use for salons. The brand needs to advertise as a luxe brand and not just a tan solution or self-tanning foam but as a superfood for the skin.
Our strategy was to create a simple and sleek style brand identity. Bold but understated, keeping the look fresh and modern to appeal to beauty influencers, young people and anyone who is beauty conscious whether they are female or male. The branding needed to be designed so it could be applied as a label across all Attantion products. We also researched the international tanning industry and found a gap in branding styles, most of the international players positioned themselves on the lower end of the market or (value for money) and only a select few used their branding to place themselves at the high-quality end of the spectrum.
We worked to create a universal brand identity using universal symbols such as sun, earth and sky. These universal symbols represent growth, nature, botanical & natural beauty, which reflects the organic & natural ingredients used in Attantion’s products. We believe that this was the major differentiation of Attantion’s business compared to their competitors and needed to be the focus of the brand.
From the very start to the finish of our project, Justin was very professional in manner and with his expertise. Justin explained everything to us and advised us on what works best for our brand.
